September 11, 2001

I can't believe it's been 8 years. As we often say, "It seems like it was yesterday". I remember standing in front of the television...with tears in my eyes and a knot in my stomach. My way of handling the horror and pain...two paintings... painted that day... that I have never shared, but want to share now.

Hi Deb

9-11 I will never forget that day.
I was looking TV
and then I heard the news :(
Unbelievable what was happening.
I still see those iron birds flying in the buildings.
It was like a nightmare but real.
In The Netherlands they have today two minutes silence for all victims.

I can see in your paintings the emotion on the faces !!!

Have a nice weekend
Anya :)

Hi Anya,

I think emotion and expression are both correct. I, like you, still see and feel so many emotions about that day...it will always be unbelievable and painful.

Thank you for sharing

I still can't believe it happened. So sad, such a tragedy. Anya's choice of words was perfect - the emotion we felt on that day is expressed on the faces in your paintings.
