Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year, Everyone!!!

I was thinking about this past year today,  and how I want my life to be in 2015.  Three songs, that were very popular this year, came to mind.  Happy, Shake it Off, and Let it go.  All of these songs provide a great message, and I am thinking this is what I want 2015 to look like.  The songs are saying... Don't let fear run your life, and be Happy!  Good advice, and I'm going to take it.

I plan to post more often, and I am looking forward to reading your blogs, and visiting more.

So, have a wonderful New Years' Eve, and a Happy New Years' Day!!!!!

Autumn and Nibblefest

It's raining!!!  We have had a very dry Summer, and the rain feels so good.  The leaves are starting to change color, too, and I'm thinking about making soup.  It's my favorite time of the year!  On another note...I was going to post my Nibblefest entry for this month, the other day, and didn't get around to it.  The theme is Furry Friends, and my furry friend is a cat woman I call Ruby.  She reminds me of our Rudy, who is helping me out in the photo.  There are a lot of great paintings this month; if you're looking for art.  Have a wonderful rest of your week!!!

Nibblefest Time!

Hi!  I know, it's been a really long time since I've been here.  Life has been very busy, Business has picked up, and, like many, I've been spending more time on Facebook.  But, it's Nibblefest Time!  I want to share this month's entry, "Forest Creature".  My creature is a little, kind of abstract, Fox.  He was fun to create using papers, ink, watercolor pencil, watercolor and acrylic paint, stamps, and pencil.

I hope everyone has been doing well, and enjoying Summer.  I hope to catch up with you all soon!

Spring Is Here!

It has been a very long, very wet Winter in Oregon, and I am so excited about Spring!  I've been cleaning, not only our home, my studio and our yard, but my Artwork, too.  Not so much cleaning in the typical sense, but opening up for change, and growth.  One way I am working toward growth is I am taking a class taught by Juliette Crane, called Bliss.  I love Juliette's loose, colorful style, and think it's a perfect way to remember how to play with Art.  I just happen to have a massive amount of Art Supplies, that have never been touched, and I am having a great time experimenting.  Here are two Journal Sketches I've created in the past two days.  If you would like to have fun, too, check out Juliette's class...you will have fun!

POPPY The Westie Painting

The name, "Poppy" came to me while painting this little guy.  Poppy is a West Highland White Terrier, or Westie, as they are commonly called.  He is now in my Etsy shop!  It's been a while since I've had new paintings for my shop, so I'm excited.  LOL!  I'm working on three more small paintings, so stay tuned!
