New Prints!!!

I received the prints, today, of the 15 paintings I decided to have reproduced! I am very happy with them! I've decided to do mini prints, 4X4 up to 5X10. I really like the smaller prints, now I just have to find/order some mats. Two of the prints are in my Etsy and ArtFire shops tonight. More to follow!

I'm, also, working on some yard art. Stay tuned...I hope it's going to be as fun as I think it will be!

A Very Productive Day!!!

PAINTING SOLD

PHEW! I've been working non-stop today, and it's been GREAT! My dream days are the days when I do nothing but deal with Art related business. Oh, I guess I thought about the coffee shop a little. When I was thinking that I could use a cappuccino... Speaking of Cappuccinos, I took a picture of one of my favorite little demitasse cups, holding a yummy Capp...that I will share here today.

Part of my business today was adding my new, "Mother's Day" painting in my Etsy shop. I really love the way this painting turned out, and I hope it brings a big smile into your day!

New Print #4 in Mardi Gras Pet Series

I have the Fourth print, in my Mardi Gras Pet Series, for sale in my Etsy Shop and in my Art Fire Shop. I will, also, be adding my, "Dogs Have Feelings Too", print this morning.

It's another GORGEOUS day in Oregon!!! All of this sunshine is giving me the Flower BUG! My daughter, Ali, and I will be heading for the Nursery on Wednesday morning! I'll be sure to post pictures of the Coffee Shop, at it's prettiest time of year, very soon!

New Painting in my Etsy Shop

Painting Sold!

It's beautiful here in Oregon today!!! I can't wait to get outside, but first I have a new painting in my Etsy Shop. This little painting was inspired by our new guy, Rudy. I did take liberties...used his fur color and eye color, but the painting is a of a girl kitty with Amethyst Jewels. The picture doesn't do this painting justice...it's much better in person. I really like the gold accents!

Dandelions

Happy Easter, Everyone!

There was, (my husband mowed the lawn), one pretty, fluffy dandelion outside the window at the coffee shop and I just had to share it. I know most people think they are weeds, but I love them. Probably because they remind me of when my girls were little and they would bring me bouquets of the pretty yellow flowers. They made wishes with the fluffy ones, (Click on the pictures to see them better)

I just listed the Fourth painting in my Mardi Gras Pet Series. Kitty's celebrating with a Hurricane...and it looks like she's having fun! I didn't color her eyes because I wanted her to look a bit dazed...like she would if she drank a Hurricane!

GusGus and Rudy like Daffodils too!

Rudy seems to love his new home, see him smiling! I just had to take a few pictures of him with the gorgeous daffodils! Not to be left out, GusGus had to check the pretty yellow flowers out, too.

GusGus doesn't look his best with that dark spot on top of his head...a war wound from Rudy. But, they've gotten along, famously, since. I've, actually, been very happy with the way our 4 dogs and two cats have taken Rudy in. A few battles, at first, but I think they are starting to like each other.

Spring Flowers

I've been enjoying the daffodils at the coffee shop, so thought I would share them. Oregon is absolutely gorgeous in the Spring. Everything is SO GREEN! I didn't realize just how green until a few years ago when I was flying back to Oregon. It was like flying into the Emerald City...took my breath away.

New Frida Cat Painting

Good Morning!

I just listed a new Frida Cat Painting on Etsy. This one has a painted border...so it looks like it's already been framed. I am in love with the gold paint that I discovered!!! It really adds life, I think, to the piece.

Yes, I finished this one at the espresso shop. That's why you see jars of Chocolate powder and yummy Chai in the background. Hmmmmmmmmmmm makes me hungry, think I'll go make something. That's one good thing about owning an espresso shop....so many good things to sip on. Ok, my favoites. Two shots of espresso in a cup, fill the cup with whipped cream and add a bit of steamed non-fat milk. So good... Love iced Americanos with cream too.

Where I paint

I always find it interesting to see where artists spend their time painting, so I thought I would share my painting spots. Since we own an espresso shop, and I spend a lot of time there....this is where you will find me painting on most days.

The Coffee Shop Stray Finds A Home

Just popping in to post a picture of our new guy. He doesn't have a name yet...still working on that. He did an amazing job traveling to the vet today, and won the heart of everyone that met him. He's such a sweet guy. Hopefully the other six animals at our house will think so too. The vet recommended he stay at the coffee shop tonight, until the flea medication can take affect. Poor stray cats...they have to endure so much. He has a home now though. Just no name.....!!!

Frida Doll

I'm learning a lot with this first cloth and clay doll. I've started painting her face, but still have a little to finish. She's a folk art doll, so I've tried to control my obsessive ways and leave her a little rough. I need to find time to get to the fabric store...I'm really excited to start her dress!

I have one new "Frida Catnap" painting on etsy, I'm listing a "Frida Blue Cat" on eBay in the morning, and I've been working on a Frida doll. I love painting on the mini gallery wrapped canvases. I just finished one, BIRDIE, and have listed it on eBay. I will have another painting to show tomorrow, and I've started working on a cloth and clay doll that I'm very excited about. Hope to have pictures of her soon, as well.

It's gorgeous here today! A taste of Spring! Which reminds me...I really need to get those tulip bulbs planted! So much to do and never enough time!

New Paintings!

I have two new paintings listed on eBay. The first is in honor of my favorite holiday, Valentine's Day! I, also, have a new Cat painting. The picture doesn't show the gold circles in the background or the glittery gold on the holly very well. This painting looks much better in person.

Cloth and Clay Doll Class

About a month ago I took an online Cloth and Clay Doll making class from Jane DesRosier. I haven't had the chance to make a doll yet, life's been too busy here, but I am starting my doll today. First Painting in 2009

I finally had some time to paint after a very busy Holiday Season! My first painting was inspired by our cat, Cleo. Cleo passed away October 11th and we really miss her. She always let us know how much she loved us...just like the kitty in this painting. "Sweet Pea" is listed on ebay until January 18th.

I will update our puppy photos soon. We just had to keep one of the pups. Her name is Bailey and she is the sweetest little, well...not so little, girl. At just over 4 months old she's weighing about 50 lbs! I'll post a picture later today.

I'd love to hear from anyone that stops by. I'm going to work, very hard, this year and paint every spare moment that I have. I have a ton of ideas...just need to get busy!

New painting and Puppies

Hi,

I thought I should do an update and show pictures of Riley with her puppies, or some of them, it's hard to get all of them at once. The puppies are really difficult to get a picture of since they like to bite your feet, but I did manage to get a couple of pics. I'm,also,posting one of my new paintings...I really do like this one, I hope you do too. Guess what my inspiration was....cute puppies!

I've been so very busy, but I do have two new paintings. One is listed on eBay, "BEE", and the other "Halloween" is in my etsy shop. I guess I had better figure out how to add the links. So many things to do and so little time.

First Blog

I'm new to blogging, and I'm not really sure what I am doing yet, but I decided to go for it.

For my first blog I'd like to introduce Riley and her puppies. Long story short...Riley was a stray that my husband found when he and the guys were target shooting one afternoon. She was starving and couldn't walk, so he brought her home and she thrived. Then one evening we returned home and found our neighbor's Chocolate Lab at our house...a very friendly guy...and two months later we have 6 chubby little puppies. Riley is a great mom and a great addition to our family, too. You can see in her eyes how greatful she is, as well, to be here with us.
