We Have Snow!!!

We don't get snow very often where we live...so it's exciting to watch a wonderland appear before our eyes! I just have to share a few pictures of our morning; which is melting as I type.

Bailey and Riley loved the early morning surprise, too.

New Cat Painting and Snow!

The other day I was in the mood to paint a wild cat, but when I actually started painting...the cat ended up not being so wild. It's always a surprise, to me, how a painting ends up. The end result is rarely what I start out with.

We have snow!!!

Chouette

My little black cat, Chouette, is finished. Hopefully my French is correct...and her name translated is Posh. I used a canvas that measures 18 " X 6" X 1 1/2" and only acrylic paint, this time. I was so tempted to go wild with her, but decided to stop and let Chouette be more refined. Now I need to go paint a wild cat! After I clean my floors...

Rudy's... In The Bag

Fortunate for Rudy, when I returned home from the health food store, I left the paper bag on the floor. It didn't take him long to take up residence. He's such a silly boy.

I am almost finished with my, kind of shabby-chic, folk art-ish, black cat painting and will post it tonight or tomorrow.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I received Roses from my Valentine this morning, but it seems that Rudy and Oppea believe the gift was for them. I guess I'll share; since they love roses too.

I'm off to the store now...making twice baked potatoes tonight. Roger's favorite.

Have A Great Weekend!!!

I can't believe it's Friday! It was a very busy week for us; which makes time go faster. A gentleman contacted us, and he wants to lease our property for his concession stand/mobile unit. We hadn't even thought about doing this, but it's going to work out great! I can't wait to try his yummy kettle corn! I'm sure our old customers will be very happy, too! Hopefully, he will be able to make my mom's blended Chubby Bunny for her!!! :-)

I found a couple of old paintings that I'd never finished...and I finished them. And, now I am working on a few new ideas. It feels so good to be getting back into creating. I feel pretty rusty, but I am so enjoying myself!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! We get to watch our youngest dance in the faculty concert, and I can't wait!!!

Birthdays Are Fun

Yesterday was my birthday, and it was a great day! I received a lot of "Happy Birthday" messages and phone calls. It's always fun to hear from friends and family! Then we had a fantastic lunch at Ruby Tuesdays! Crab cakes...so yummy! Went to see True Grit; which we really liked. Shopped a bit at Michaels; one of my favorite places, and Borders...another favorite place to spend hours browsing. It was a very Happy Birthday, indeed.

Of course, I had to take a few pictures of the gorgeous Tulips my daughter, Ali, gave to me. They were glowing in the sunlight this morning...so pretty!

And, now I am off to the DMV to renew my drivers license...the downside of turning another year older. Hopefully I won't be there ALL day; I really want to paint!!!
